The NHCS Advisory Council on the Education of Children with Special Needs visited Alderman
Elementary School on Friday, November 16, 2012. Principal, Bob Maxey presented demographic information, noting that Alderman is a school with one of the smallest class sizes in New Hanover County Schools. Mr. Maxey shared that Alderman is New Hanover County Schools first "Connected School" (E. Perry Good) and that he and the staff have seen success in the first year of programming implementation.
Dr. Kerri Wright, NHCS Autism Liaison, presented the special topic for the day: "Advocacy and Self-Awareness".
